The Beginner's Guide to Dressmaking | Wendy Ward
Start making your own clothes and build a whole new wardrobe with this collection of modern, classic designs and full-sized patterns compiled especially for beginners.
Includes detailed illustrated step-by-step instructions for each project plus a separate Techniques section which takes you through 14 key dressmaking techniques needed to make the six garments, building in complexity enabling you to build your skills with each project.
Choose from a shift dress, everyday T-shirt top, maxi dress, fishtail skirt, wide legged trousers and zip front jacket, or make all six and create your own unique capsule fashion collection.
Also includes a Customising section with instructions for how to adapt each of the garments to suit your own style by adding pockets, mixing up fabrics, collars and ruffles.
Patterns for all six garments are included in the book on pull-out, full scale, multi-sized pattern sheets. No need for downloading or scaling up patterns. Just trace off the pieces that you need and off you go!
