Skill Level:

  • Description

Save hours!
We want to sew and we want to do it NOW!

The most time consuming and annoying part of sewing is adding a seam allowance to all your pattern pieces.

No longer do you have to measure and trace around each individual piece, the Seam Allowance Guide will do that for you while you cut out your fabric.

Now you can spend more time on the fun stuff.

Perfect for:
Named Clothing Patterns
Burda Style Magazine Patterns
Japanese Pattern books
Marfy Patterns
Copying your own clothes
Designers creating patterns from scratch
Altering patterns
Left- or right-handed scissors
Picking up pins!

1. Lay out your pattern pieces with enough space between them to accommodate your seam allowance. Pin.
2. With chalk and a ruler mark your desired seam allowance. (Just once)

3. Attach the magnetic green or yellow guide to your scissor blade.
4. Cut into the fabric at the chalk mark with your scissors.

5. Move the black band to line up with the pattern edge.
6. Start cutting keeping the black band parallel to the pattern edge at all times.

You should have a nice even automatic seam allowance!
